CAPES Print UFU - Inglês

This presentation describes in detail the Institutional Program of Internationalization of the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU-CAPES.PrInt). UFU-CAPES.PrInt aims to contribute to the internationalization of the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) through an articulated and convergent action with the Postgraduate Programs (PPGs), in line with the Institutional Plan for Internationalization of the Federal University of Uberlândia (PInt-UFU).

UFU-CAPES.PrInt is articulated in two main themes: Social Dynamics, Quality of Life and Health, divided into five (5) international collaboration projects and Converging Technologies and Environmental Resources, with four (4) international collaboration projects.

The theme of Social Dynamics, Quality of Life and Health is composed of the following projects:

  • P1-Construction of health cities: health, population, and social dynamics;
  • P2-The national education systems in the Euro-American space: compared education and establishment of language policies;
  • P3-Infectious, inflammatory and chronic diseases in a constantly changing environment that affects human and animal health;
  • P4-Biomechanical rehabilitation and repair processes in dentistry: Impact on people’s health and quality of  life;
  • P5-Socioenvironmental innovations and challenges in the Brazilian Cerrado’s modernity and its links to a sustainable economy.


The theme Converging Technologies and Environmental Resources is composed of the following projects:

  • P6-New technologies for efficient, sustainable energy production, conversion, and storage;
  • P7-New materials and technologies for the industry and for a connected society;
  • P8-Technological solutions for agriculture and environmental conservation;
  • P9-Converging technologies applied to health and well-being.

The program provides support for work missions between UFU and abroad and the implementation of various types of scholarships. The scholarships are intended for postgraduate students, professors accredited in the Graduate Programs (PPGs), as well as the researchers and foreign teachers participating in UFU-CAPES.PrInt.

Strategic Themes

UFU-CAPES.PrInt through clear, convergent, and dynamic efforts involving some of the UFU's graduate programs and partner institutions, seeks to support the University's internationalization process. The program is supported by CAPES and is in line with UFU's strategic internationalization objective.

Graduate Programs Included

UFU has become a member of the 2024 edition of the International Cooperation Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB-Mob). International students are welcome to pursue their Master's or PhD studies in Brazil through this program.

In addition to offering high-quality education at no cost, UFU is distributing 52 scholarships through the GCUB-Mob call, accessible via www.gcub.org.br/category/programas/em.andamento/.

  • Master's students receive R$ 2,100.00, while doctoral students receive R$ 3,100.00.
  • Tuition and academic fees are waived.
  • Free Portuguese classes and cultural activities are also available

Goals

 

UFU-CAPES.PrInt In addition to providing financial support for international initiatives and scholarships for PhD students and faculty of the programs involved in developing studies in the two main research themes of Social Dynamics, Quality of Life, and Health and Converging Technologies and Environmental Resources, PrInt allows the University to host international researchers and professors.  

The goals of the prInt program are to support international research networks, improve research in collaborative projects across borders, and raise the profile of UFU's scientific, technological, and cultural output globally. 

 

The UFU-CAPES.PrInt aims to contribute to the internationalization of the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) through an articulated and convergent action with the Graduate Programs (PPGs), aligned with the Institutional Plan of Internationalization of the Federal University of Uberlândia (PInt-UFU).

UFU-CAPES.PrInt has the following specific objectives:

  • To carry out joint research projects in international collaborative projects, seeking to find innovative technological solutions to relevant and internationally representative problems for society;
  • To promote and strengthen the creation of international research networks with the participation of researchers from the various UFU PPGs, aiming to increase the level of international collaboration, joint publications and the impact of the results of joint work between UFU researchers and abroad;
  • To disseminate the results of international collaboration projects and seek to transfer these results to society as a means of broadening their social impact;
  • To carry out innovative research management at UFU, related to internationalization to expand its area of coverage;
  • To strengthen UFU's graduate programs and exchange with international research institutions and groups;
  • To provide greater international visibility to Brazilian scientific, technological and cultural production.

CAPES PrInt UFU

UFU-CAPES.PrInt enables the University to host international researchers and professors, as well as to financially support international initiatives and scholarships for PhD students and professors of the program involved.

UFU-CAPES.PrInt covers grants with the objective of enchancing research in international collaborative projects, fostering international research networks and contributing to the international visibility of UFU's scientific, technological and cultural production.
